The Junco - Vintage Monogram in Hot Pink Wristlet
Introducing the Junco, this bag is made from an authentic Louis Vuitton Monogram Bucket Pouch. It's been thoroughly cleaned and is ready for a new owner!!
This bag is in GREAT shape, so I added some hot pink leather braiding to the top to give it some flair. The inside Vuittonite (see below) was in decent shape, so I left it alone but added a small amount of talcum powder to keep it from getting sticky. I've also added a 15" gold chain so that you can use it as a wristlet! I can switch out the chain to a longer/different one if you'd like, just message me to get options!!
The date code on this bag is VI 0010, which indicates it was made in France January of 2000.
This little Junco measures is L 6.7 x W 3.9 x D 0.75" and is perfect for throwing a few cards and cash into ... throw it in a larger bag, or carry it into the bar to give your outfit a fun flair!!
For a video review of this bag, please see my highlight bubble called "The Junco" on IG!
Please note: These are vintage bags, and will show some wear. I try to call out everything, but please make sure to look at the pictures!!
About Vuittonite: Prior to 1997, Louis Vuitton lined many of its bags with a vinyl-like material known as Vuittonite. It was used (and patented) by Louis Vuitton because its resistance to water makes it easy to clean. Unfortunately, when exposed to high heat or humidity, Vuittonite begins to deteriorate and peel away from the edges of the bag. Over time, it becomes increasingly sticky, forming a residue (which, in extreme cases, is black in color) that transfers to anything placed inside the bag. If your Vuittonite is starting to get sticky, try putting some talcum powder inside, lightly coating it. It works!!!
