These authentic Gucci rivets were rescued from a well loved Gucci handbag. After the rivets are removed, the extra metal on the back is shaved down and then they are thoroughly cleaned and polished. Did you know that all Gucci rivets are solid brass??
After the removal/cleaning process, a gold plated post is epoxied on the back. Don't worry about the epoxy not being strong enough, I actually broke a post trying to get it off!!!
The earring base metal under the gold plating is sterling silver, and they are lead and nickel free."Gucci" is embossed around the outer edge of these rivets. These are smaller than the LV ones at only 6 mm round. The earrings will come with small gold backings.
